Dr Amara Osei

It sounds vague. It isn’t — it’s a decision not to drill yet, and it comes with a plan.
What we’re watching
Early decay that hasn’t broken through the enamel, a hairline crack, or an old filling with a worn edge. None of these need treatment today; all of them can change.
Why we don’t just fix it
Every filling is the start of a cycle. Enamel that’s only demineralised can re-harden with fluoride and better cleaning. Drilling early doesn’t make a tooth last longer.
What to ask
“What would make you act?” and “What can I do to stop it?” You should get a straight answer to both, and a photo so you can see it too.
